Wonderland on the Islands
The islands emerging from the deep fascinating waters of the Gulf of Pallanza are a precious treasure of flora and fauna of the lake. Ernest Hemingway was fond of them and they were a beloved tourist destination of the British Royal Family. Let you be surprised by the Isola Bella, where you can visit the monumental Borromean Palace of the 17th century with its spectacular gardens, the Isola Madre with its botanical garden full of rare plants and last but not least the small characteristic Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen Island) with its typical traditional houses and the tiny "Isolino di S.Giovanni" just in front of Pallanza and the so-called Rock.
